DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong passion for DevOps, ready to advance their career in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a DevOps Engineer, you will leverage your expertise through hands-on training and mentorship to enhance your skills in AWS, Jenkins, Linux, Git, and advanced DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Deploy updates and fixes
• Provide technical support
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar Infrastructure engineering role
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of shell
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
• Working knowledge in AWS cloud services & Docker & Jenkins (CL / CD) &Monitoring tools Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
• Strong knowledge in Apache and Nginx Web servers
• Excellent troubleshooting, Problem-solving attitude
