Role Overview
The Software Application Development Apprenticeship is a 12-month learning and development program designed for individuals looking to start a career in software development. Participants will spend 20% of their time in a tailored training program and 80% working on hands-on projects with Google teams, gaining exposure to coding, development, testing, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Learn and follow coding standards and ensure compliance with quality measures.
- Support the team in software development based on agreed projects and platforms.
- Contribute to implementation, unit testing, and integration to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Apply technical knowledge gained during the apprenticeship to real-world applications.
- Ensure code is tested in accordance with team or manager guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Not currently enrolled in an academic program.
- Less than 1 year of experience in software application development.
- Programming experience in at least one coding language.
