Software Engineer II, Full Stack

Role Overview

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer on the Geo team, you will work on projects critical to building accurate and useful maps like Maps, Earth, and Street View. We are looking for versatile engineers to solve complex computer science problems across the full-stack.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices regarding style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, including back-end and front-end technologies.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in backend coding languages such as Go, Rust, or Java.
• Experience in ML model coding languages such as Python.
