Software Engineer II, Google Ads

Role Overview

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a Software Engineer II for Google Ads, you will work on projects critical to Google’s needs, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions that power the open internet through search, display, shopping, and video advertising.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices regarding style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product updates.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
