Software Engineer, Search

Role Overview

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. You will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices regarding style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product updates.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
