Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer who can ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our web and mobile products. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to identify issues before they reach customers and ensure a smooth rental experience.
Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business workflows.
- Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and checklists.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and usability testing.
- Test web and mobile applications across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using a bug-tracking system.
- Clearly communicate defects with detailed steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, screenshots, videos, and relevant logs.
- Perform smoke and sanity testing for new builds and releases.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
- Validate APIs using tools such as Postman where required.
- Perform basic database validation using SQL queries where required.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirement discussions and identify potential product and edge-case issues before development.
- Validate fixes and ensure defects are properly closed.
- Maintain QA documentation and testing reports.
- Support production releases and perform post-release validation.
- Continuously improve testing processes, coverage, and QA practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–4 years of experience in Manual Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, Sanity Testing, Integration Testing, Exploratory Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Strong ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Experience with bug-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Linear, or ClickUp.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
- Good understanding of web technologies and browser behavior.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
