Hiring Junior Data QE Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Data QE Engineer with hands-on experience in data quality testing, SQL validation, and automated data validation frameworks. The ideal candidate should be passionate about ensuring data accuracy, validating ETL/data pipelines, and testing BI reports while working closely with data engineering and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Validate data across source, staging, and target systems using SQL.
• Perform end-to-end data quality testing for ETL and data pipelines.
• Create and maintain automated data validation tests using modern data quality frameworks.
• Validate dashboards and BI reports against source data.
• Analyze data discrepancies and work with engineering teams for resolution.
• Develop reusable test cases and regression test suites for data products.
• Execute functional and data validation testing during releases.
• Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, QA Engineers, and Business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of experience.
• Immediate to 15 Days notice period preferred.
• Strong SQL and database validation experience.
• Hands-on experience in Data Testing.
• Experience with Great Expectations, dbt Tests, or Soda.
• BI Report Validation (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• ETL/Data Pipeline Testing.
• Data Quality Assurance methodologies.
• Defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
