Role Overview
We're seeking an experienced C++ Linux IPC Middleware Developer to join our team at HARMAN Automotive. You will engineer audio systems and integrated technology platforms that augment the driving experience, combining ingenuity and research with design and engineering excellence to advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain IPC middleware solutions for Linux-based systems.
- Write high-performance, scalable, and reliable C++ code for IPC middleware.
- Develop and integrate IPC middleware with Linux-based systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Optimize IPC middleware performance, ensuring low latency and high throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and product management.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of IPC mechanisms, including sockets, pipes, and shared memory.
- Experience with Linux development, including kernel and user-space programming.
- Experience with IPC middleware solutions, such as DDS (Data Distribution Service).
- Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- 0 to 1 years of experience in C++ programming with a focus on Linux and IPC middleware.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Real-Time Systems, including RTOS and real-time Linux.
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards, including AUTOSAR and ISO 26262.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
