Junior UI Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and creative Junior UI Developer to assist in developing, maintaining, and enhancing dynamic, responsive user interfaces for enterprise-level web applications. You will work with JSP-based applications to ensure high usability, performance, and visual consistency in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend Java developers to build and enhance JSP-based web interfaces.
• Convert Figma or design mockups into responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSP.
• Implement and customize jQuery plugins such as DataTables, Datepicker, and Select2.
• Maintain and update JSP templates and reusable UI components.
• Integrate frontend functionality with Java-based backend services using REST APIs.
• Perform cross-browser testing, debugging, and UI optimization.
• Ensure consistent design language and adhere to WCAG accessibility standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
• Strong experience with jQuery plugins.
• Basic understanding of JSP (Java Server Pages) and integration in Java-based web applications.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git, GitHub, or SVN.
• Understanding of REST API integration.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS or SCSS.
• Working knowledge of Bootstrap, Material UI, or Tailwind CSS.
• Exposure to Figma.
• Understanding of JSTL, Expression Language (EL), and custom JSP tags.
• Familiarity with Spring MVC or Struts frameworks.
