Machine Learning Intern (Medical Imaging)

Role Overview

Healium Intelliscan is building AI for point-of-care ultrasound. We're looking for an ML intern to help us build computer vision models for ultrasound image analysis in Bangalore, India.

Responsibilities

• Train and benchmark a CNN classifier for ultrasound standard plane detection
• Build object detection models for anatomical structure localisation
• Work with public/private medical imaging datasets
• Set up evaluation pipelines — sensitivity/specificity, confidence intervals, subgroup analysis
• Handle DICOM data pipelines and preprocessing

Requirements

• Strong Python + PyTorch (or TensorFlow)
• Solid grounding in CNNs, image classification, and object detection
• Comfortable reading research papers and reproducing results
• Bonus: any exposure to medical imaging, DICOM, or ultrasound
• Final-year B.Tech/M.Tech/MS, or recent graduate
