Full Stack Developer

Role Overview

HOBIT is a revolutionary platform in the Health and Wellness industry with 500k+ users across India and the UAE, dedicated to making workouts fun and engaging. We are hiring a backend-focused Full Stack Developer to build high-throughput system architectures, scalable APIs, and core business logic in a fast-paced startup environment. You will work closely with founders to own products end-to-end; from database design to client deployment.

Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: Design and maintain scalable server-side services, microservices, and REST APIs using Node.js.
• Data Management: Optimize SQL/NoSQL schemas, complex queries, indexing, and caching mechanisms (Redis/PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
• System Performance: Profile, audit, and refactor services to ensure high availability, security, and sub-second latency.
• Full-Stack Delivery: Build clean web/mobile UIs using React.js, TypeScript, and React Native to support backend features.
• Production Ownership: Manage deployments, monitor application health, write unit/integration tests, and debug production issues.
• Consistently achieve retention, customer satisfaction, and quality targets.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering experience with a strong focus on backend infrastructure and API design.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Solid hands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB/Redis) databases.
• Working knowledge of React.js and React Native.
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• High ownership, strong debugging skills, and adaptability to fast-moving startup environments.
