Image Processing Intern

Role Overview

HYPSTUMA is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer Intern to work on real-world computer vision systems for drones, infrastructure inspection, and automated image analysis. This role focuses on solving actual computer vision problems using real-world datasets from wind turbines, transmission towers, and solar plants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve computer vision models for drone imagery
• Perform image classification, object detection, segmentation, and defect detection
• Work with RGB and thermal images
• Build image-processing pipelines for large-scale drone datasets
• Experiment with deep learning models and evaluate their performance
• Contribute to automated inspection and infrastructure intelligence systems

Requirements

• Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
• Strong Python fundamentals
• Knowledge of OpenCV, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
• Understanding of CNNs and deep learning
• Basic knowledge of image processing and computer vision
• Ability to work independently and experiment with models

• Experience with YOLO / object detection
• Image segmentation
• Thermal image processing
• Drone/UAV imagery
• Computer vision research or projects
• Experience with large image datasets
