Role Overview
Idyaite Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Python Backend Developer to build scalable APIs using FastAPI. This remote role involves developing high-performance backend services, integrating IoT devices, managing time-series data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions for a UK-based client.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases for high-performance applications.
- Work with InfluxDB for storing and querying time-series data.
- Implement MQTT-based communication for IoT devices and real-time messaging.
- Integrate backend services with third-party APIs and applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with FastAPI.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Experience with InfluxDB or other time-series databases.
- Working knowledge of MQTT protocol and brokers (Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ).
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Understanding of Docker and containerized deployments.
- Basic knowledge of Linux environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
