Python Backend Developer - (FastAPI)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI to build scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have experience working with PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, and MQTT-based communication for IoT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
• Work with InfluxDB or other time-series databases.
• Implement MQTT-based communication for IoT devices.
• Integrate backend services with third-party APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, DevOps, and QA.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of Python backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with InfluxDB or other time-series databases.
• Knowledge of MQTT and MQTT brokers (Mosquitto, EMQX, HiveMQ, etc.).
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Linux.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Celery and Redis.
• Knowledge of WebSockets.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of IoT architecture and edge device communication.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
