Role Overview
The QA Automation & Manual Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and basic security of software applications through manual testing, test automation, and performance validation. This role involves executing test cases, identifying defects, supporting automation and CI/CD activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, secure, and high-quality applications.
Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements and prepare detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using issue management tools like Jira.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Support integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Assist in planning and executing performance, load, and stress tests using JMeter.
- Perform basic application security testing aligned with OWASP Top 10.
- Collaborate with developers and DevOps in Agile/Scrum environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software testing with hands-on manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
