Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a data professional to develop, publish, and maintain high-impact reporting solutions. You will be responsible for converting business requirements into actionable insights through advanced data modeling and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create data models, measures, and KPIs using DAX.
• Perform data transformation and integration using Power Query.
• Gather business requirements and convert them into reporting solutions.
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy.
• Implement security controls including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and Power Query (M Language).
• Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries, joins, and stored procedures.
• Experience working with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, and Azure data platforms.
• Good understanding of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Star/Snowflake schemas.
• Experience in report deployment, workspace management, gateways, and dataset refresh management.
• Knowledge of Power BI security, governance, and RLS implementation.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
• PL-300 certification.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
