Java Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer – Backend Engineer who thrives in building robust systems, enjoys tackling loosely defined problems, and is excited to work closely with both product and customer teams. This is an in-person role based in Mumbai requiring 5 days of work from the office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business use cases and user needs.
• Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and performant REST APIs.
• Ship new features regularly — weekly or even daily.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work closely with customers to resolve them.
• Drive adoption by building intuitive, well-documented, and developer-friendly features.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java and related technologies.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Knowledge of databases and REST API development.
• A "builder" mindset — proactive, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused.
• Passion for developer experience and user-centric development.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• UAN is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools and technologies such as Quarkus, Kafka, Solace, Redis, or Aerospike.
• Exposure to enterprise-grade software systems or financial services platforms.
• Experience building internal tools or SDKs that enhance developer productivity.
• Basic exposure to AI tools.
