Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen our cloud security posture and protect our infrastructure, applications, and data across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud security, IAM, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and security automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Implement and manage IAM, RBAC, MFA, privileged access, and least-privilege controls.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance risks.
- Perform cloud security assessments and vulnerability management.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and best practices for cloud environments.
- Configure and manage cloud-native security services and tools.
- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents involving cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Implement security logging, monitoring, alerting, and SIEM integrations.
- Automate security processes using scripting or Infrastructure as Code where appropriate.
- Conduct security reviews of cloud architectures and provide recommendations for risk reduction.
- Support compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or other applicable standards.
- Stay current with emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, infrastructure security, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Good understanding of IAM, networking, encryption, key management, secrets management, and cloud security architecture.
- Experience with security monitoring and SIEM platforms.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and remediation.
- Understanding of Linux/Windows security, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code is preferred.
- Scripting/programming experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
