Machine Learning Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a Machine Learning Intern to join our remote AI/ML team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in machine learning, data preprocessing, model development, evaluation, and deployment. You’ll work with real-world datasets and assist in developing machine learning solutions to solve practical business and technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for machine learning
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand datasets
• Develop and train machine learning models using Python
• Implement supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
• Work with algorithms such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, K-Means, and others
• Use Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib for ML workflows
• Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics
• Perform feature engineering and model optimization
• Identify and address data quality and model performance issues
• Experiment with deep learning and neural network models when required
• Document experiments, results, and model performance
• Collaborate with team members on machine learning projects
• Stay updated with emerging machine learning technologies and best practices

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python
• Understanding of fundamental Machine Learning concepts and algorithms
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
• Basic understanding of statistics and probability
• Knowledge of data preprocessing and exploratory data analysis
• Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch is a plus
• Understanding of model evaluation techniques is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies
• Own laptop and stable internet connection
