Software Engineer-QA

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer-QA, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of web and mobile applications by analyzing requirements, designing comprehensive test plans, and executing various testing methodologies within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Support teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate responses.
• Execute database validation using SQL queries.
• Support automation initiatives by maintaining or developing scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Participate in release validation and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing (Functional, Regression, Integration, etc.).
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Knowledge of API testing and SQL for database validation.
• Working knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices.
