Backend Developer

Role Overview

J AND R COMPANY is looking for a Backend Developer (MERN Stack) who can design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs for our web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Work with MongoDB for database design, queries, and optimization.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT/OAuth where required.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Write clean, reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Debug and resolve backend issues and production bugs.
• Optimize API performance, database queries, and server-side processes.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Flutter, UI/UX, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Work with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Ensure proper security, validation, error handling, and API documentation.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
• Good understanding of MongoDB and database concepts.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript / ES6+.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, and API security.
• Good knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and API integration.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
