Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and NestJS, with MySQL as our primary database. You will work closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance APIs and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Write efficient MySQL queries and design optimized database schemas
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with user-facing features
• Debug and resolve performance issues and production bugs
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices
• Work with DevOps to deploy and monitor applications
• Document APIs and technical designs

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in backend development with Node.js
• Hands-on experience with NestJS
• Strong experience with MySQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and the Node.js event loop
