Role Overview

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the API Marketplace Team, you will join an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components. You will execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting while growing your professional expertise within a state-of-the-art technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Writes secure and high-quality code using modern programming languages with limited guidance.
• Designs and develops systems with consideration of upstream and downstream technical implications.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development, to improve automation value.
• Analyzes large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure application development.
• Contributes to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing and maintaining code in large corporate environments using languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM).
• Exposure to containerization and Kubernetes (including EKS, pods, deployments, and scaling).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to Observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, or Prometheus.
• Experience with API Gateways.
