Role Overview

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you will be part of an agile team working to enhance, design, and deliver secure, stable, and scalable software components. You will execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting while growing your professional expertise.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solution, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Writes secure and high-quality code using modern programming languages.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Designs and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge and automation capabilities.
• Analyzes large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using Java and AWS.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use.
• Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
