Software Engineer III-Automation

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Gathers, analyzes, and develops visualizations from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation value.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience in automation using Cucumber, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Ability to customize BDD/Selenium in various integrations.
• Knowledge and ability to design and build maintain test automation frameworks.
• Experience in automation test cases and feature file creation.
• Experience using a Test-Driven Development approach and associated testing frameworks, including Oracle databases.
• Experience in Manual Testing and tracking automation test suite status.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to Cloud technologies.
• Experience on domain-oriented systems, specifically the Trade domain.
