Role Overview

Join JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate technology organization as a Software Engineer III. You will design and deliver trusted, market-leading products in a secure, stable, and scalable way, working across multiple technical areas and business functions to deliver solutions that matter to our customers and the firm.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including automation capabilities.
• Gather, analyze, and develop visualizations from large data sets to drive continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Ability to independently work on modules with minimal support.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java 21.
• Experience with React and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of cloud-based development.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment, including use of database querying languages.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
