Take your software engineering career to the next level by building mission‑critical risk reporting capabilities that help our firm manage and understand risk. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you will build and enhance secure, stable, and scalable technology products that support the firm's business objectives within a collaborative, agile team environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems
- Create secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms aligned to risk reporting systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met in implementation
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use insights to improve code quality and system architecture
- Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity
- Apply knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain, including automation capabilities
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and collaborate effectively across teams
- Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Requirements
- 3+ years of applied experience in software engineering concepts
- Full‑stack development experience using Java with Angular and/or React
- Experience with relational database technologies including SQL
- Hands-on experience in system design, design patterns, and application development
- Experience building and operating cloud solutions across AWS and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
- Hands-on experience developing data platform solutions, including Databricks
- Knowledge of SDLC and agile delivery practices, including CI/CD
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use
