Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Trust & Security part of CCB LOB, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including automation capabilities.
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
- Gathers, analyzes, and develops visualizations from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement.
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer).
- Exposure to Cloud technologies.
