Software Engineer III - Python AI ML Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking talented and experienced AI developers to join our team at JPMorgan Chase within Asset and Wealth Management. As a Software Engineer III, you will innovate and create cutting-edge solutions, leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to drive technological advancements and solve complex challenges in a collaborative, trusting, and thought-provoking environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains scalable and efficient software applications and systems for AI projects.
• Collaborates with various teams and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Implements and optimizes algorithms and models for AI applications.
• Writes clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participates in code reviews and provides constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoots and resolves software defects and issues.
• Stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and software development technologies.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation value.

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Node.js.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to validate AI-generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, or other AI domains.
• Knowledge of data engineering and data pipeline development.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
