Software Engineer

Role Overview

JuiceLabs is a nimble team of founders and builders building vertical, AI-native tools for advertising and ecommerce. We are looking for an engineer to work directly with our Cofounder/CTO on products going from zero to one, focusing on the architectural layer above the code and leveraging AI agents to maximize shipping leverage.

Responsibilities

• Design the system: Define service boundaries, data models, and failure modes.
• Write the spec: Create high-quality PRDs and technical designs to guide both humans and models.
• Review everything: Act as the last line of defense for human and agent-generated PRs to ensure correctness.
• Own it end to end: Manage the full lifecycle from ideation and design to deployment and monitoring.
• Set the workflow: Implement and refine agentic workflows, eval loops, and custom commands.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of professional full-time experience.
• High agency and the ability to work without constant direction.
• Deep system design knowledge regarding consistency, caching, queues, and scale.
• Strong technical writing skills for PRDs and design docs.
• Proven experience shipping to production, including monitoring and debugging.
• Advanced proficiency in driving AI tools and agentic workflows.
• Startup mindset with the ability to balance speed and stability.
