Junior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Jurisware is a technology-driven firm that delivers innovative software and legal solutions. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and backend services that support Jurisware’s technology and legal solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• Implement features under guidance from senior engineers.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues in existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to integrations with web and mobile platforms.
• Support automation and enterprise system initiatives.
• Learn and apply best practices in software development, documentation, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• 1+ year of professional or relevant hands-on experience in software development.
• Proficiency in the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, or Python).
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development and Software Development workflows, including APIs, databases, and version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with web technologies, relational or NoSQL databases, and basic software testing practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
