Junior Web Developer - UI

Role Overview

We are looking for a Jr. Web Developer / UI Developer to assist the web development team with all aspects of website and application design. You will be responsible for creating website layouts, maintaining software performance, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility while staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• Assist the web development team with all aspects of website and application design
• Assist with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or similar technical discipline
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a web developer
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools (e.g., Photoshop)
• Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and web design principles
