Robotics Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Keshava Elite Projects (KEP Labs) is looking for passionate Robotics Software Engineer Interns who are excited to build the next generation of intelligent robotic systems and simulation platforms. This is a 6-month unpaid internship based in Hyderabad, with high-performing interns considered for a full-time role via a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics applications using ROS 2
• Design and implement robot navigation systems
• Build SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) solutions
• Develop motion planning and path planning algorithms
• Integrate sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, GPS, cameras, and encoders
• Simulate robots using Gazebo and RViz
• Develop autonomous robot behaviors
• Create robot models using URDF/Xacro
• Work on KLS (KEP Labs Simulator) and next-generation robotics platforms
• Collaborate with AI, Embedded Systems, and Software Engineering teams

Requirements

• Good knowledge of ROS 2
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu)
• Understanding of robotics fundamentals, SLAM, and navigation concepts
• Knowledge of motion planning and robot control systems
• Experience with Gazebo and RViz
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
