Role Overview

Helpshift - A Keywords Studio, bridges the disconnect between conventional customer service channels and a growing consumer base that prefers messaging. We are looking for an ambitious, experienced, driven and solution orientated individual to join our product and platform development team, collaborating to deliver high-quality and highly scalable products used by 820M+ monthly active users.

Responsibilities

• Develop product features that can scale to 100K+ RPS.
• Take ownership of product features and be responsible for quality.
• Write clean code with proper test coverage.
• Review others’ code to ensure organizational standards.
• Build reusable modules and libraries.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of medium to large scale server-side software development experience.
• Good knowledge of CS fundamentals: Data structures and time complexity of algorithms.
• Good knowledge of a backend programming language like Clojure or Java.
• Knowledge of Posix compliant operating systems (Mac OS X and GNU/Linux).
• Comfortable using CLI tools.
• Experience in writing unit tests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of functional programming (Clojure).
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or Postgresql at scale.
• Knowledge of frontend development tools, especially JavaScript and React.
