Role Overview
KlarSYS is building a high-performance industrial vision platform at the intersection of computer vision, hardware control, and real-time analytics. As a Software / Machine Vision Engineering Intern, you will work on a multi-threaded desktop architecture where execution speed, memory efficiency, and system stability are critical, spanning from hardware-accelerated UIs to high-speed vision algorithms within a Python/C++ plugin ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build a robust Python/C++ plugin system for seamless background execution of vision tools.
- Develop hardware-accelerated desktop interfaces (PyQt/PySide) with real-time dashboards and video overlays.
- Optimize image-processing pipelines and convert Python prototypes to high-performance C++.
- Interface with industrial cameras (GenICam, GigE), sensors, and protocols like OPC-UA/MQTT.
- Combine OpenCV-based pipelines with deep learning models for defect detection.
- Implement robust error handling to ensure industrial-grade stability.
Requirements
- Pursuing B.Tech / M.Tech in CS, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong Python & C++ fundamentals and familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Solid understanding of linear algebra.
- Experience with NumPy & OpenCV.
- Exposure to CNNs for classification, segmentation, or anomaly detection (preferred).
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and learn continuously.
