Role Overview
Mechanical Engineers design, develop, test, and oversee the manufacturing of mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines. They apply principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and engineering to solve problems and improve products and processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Conduct research to improve existing mechanical devices or develop new technologies.
- Analyze mechanical designs for feasibility, durability, and safety.
- Test prototypes and analyze test data to validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, product designers, and manufacturing teams.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and specifications.
- Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure quality and compliance with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Btech, Mtech, or Diploma).
- Strong understanding of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material science.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
