Azure Platform Engineer (APIM)

Role Overview

The API Mavericks team drives developer enablement by providing clear API standards, reusable integration components, and easy-to-use tools that help internal and external developers quickly build and manage high-quality APIs. As an IT Engineer, you will design and build integration platforms, develop internal data models, and manage the full development lifecycle of APIs to ensure reliable, high-performing integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, version, and monitor APIs to ensure reliable and high-performing integrations.
• Build and maintain applications across the full development lifecycle.
• Design and build integration platforms in line with architectural standards and development guidelines.
• Design and develop internal data models that underpin integration capabilities.
• Enhance technical documentation, raise code quality standards, and share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python development for scalable services.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, including App Services and Functions.
• Expertise in API design, RESTful services, and API management practices.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data models and system integration patterns.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver tasks on time with a focus on practical problem-solving.

Nice to Have

• Intermediate experience with Mendix for low-code development.
• Foundational knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
