Java Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Developer – Backend Engineer who thrives in building robust systems, enjoys tackling loosely defined problems, and is excited to work closely with both product and customer teams. This role is based in Mumbai and requires working from the office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business use cases and user needs.
• Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and performant REST APIs.
• Ship new features regularly — weekly or even daily.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work closely with customers to resolve them.
• Drive adoption by building intuitive, well-documented, and developer-friendly features.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java and related technologies.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Knowledge of databases and REST API development.
• A “builder” mindset — proactive, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused.
• Passion for developer experience and user-centric development.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• UAN is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools and technologies such as Quarkus, Kafka, Solace, Redis, or Aerospike.
• Exposure to enterprise-grade software systems or financial services platforms.
• Experience building internal tools or SDKs that enhance developer productivity.
• Basic exposure to AI tools.
