Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join the Assortify platform team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade applications across both frontend and backend layers. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise in modern web technologies, demonstrates end-to-end ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. Familiarity with AI-assisted development is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications
• Build responsive user interfaces using React.js and TypeScript
• Develop backend services using Node.js, GraphQL, and Express
• Implement GraphQL schemas and APIs for efficient data interactions
• Manage data using Prisma ORM with PostgreSQL
• Contribute to microservices architecture
• Build cloud-native applications using AWS services
• Implement testing using Jest and Cypress
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git
• Leverage AI developer tools (e.g., Copilot) for code generation, refactoring, and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required skills & experience

• 4+ years of experience
• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with React.js and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL and Prisma
• Experience with microservices architecture
• AWS cloud experience
• Familiarity with testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development (code generation, refactoring, debugging)
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar tools to improve developer productivity
• Ability to write effective prompts for engineering tasks (API design, test generation, documentation)
• Understanding of responsible AI usage including code validation, security, and bias awareness
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications (optional but preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience with AG Grid
• Knowledge of APM tools (e.g., New Relic)
• Experience with serverless architecture
• Retail/merchandising domain experience
