Software Developer I for Information Services

Role Overview

As a Software Developer I, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. This role involves working on diverse, technically challenging projects with increasing technical scope and ownership over time, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient code and participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards.
• Analyze code to identify and resolve bugs using logical reasoning.
• Complete assigned tasks effectively and meet deadlines with support from senior developers.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions.
• Communicate technical concepts and code changes through documentation and verbal discussions.
• Maintain detailed notes on coding practices, project requirements, and individual tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Prior internship or coursework experience in software development.
• Familiarity with Back-End Technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java/Spring.
• Experience working with server-side APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Front-End Technologies including HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Understanding of unit testing and basic testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
