AI Software Engineer

Role Overview

Lifesight is a fast-growing SaaS company focused on helping businesses leverage data & AI to improve customer acquisition and retention. We are looking for an AI Software Engineer with experience in software testing and automation and hands-on exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows. You should be comfortable using tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or ChatGPT to speed up development, testing, debugging, and documentation while applying engineering judgment to verify correctness and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks and improve regression coverage
• Use AI tools for code analysis, test generation, refactoring, and documentation
• Investigate production issues using logs, traces, metrics, and reproductions
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to resolve defects and improve system reliability
• Maintain clear test reports, troubleshooting notes, and technical documentation

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in QA Automation, Test Engineering, or Software Engineering
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, API testing, regression testing, and defect management
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Postman
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with REST APIs, Git, and version control workflows
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, etc.)
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to LLM integrations, RAG, or AI-powered applications
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other databases
• Basic scripting or automation using Python APIs
