Role Overview
As a Quality Engineer within the Financial Wellbeing Platform, you will play a pivotal role in our transformation journey, helping customers become more financially resilient. You will join a dynamic, co-located team, working in a highly collaborative way to ensure software operates as intended by validating and verifying feature behaviour against requirement specifications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the squad to deliver quality software applications and ensure problems are well documented.
- Identify test scenarios, design, and create test cases to achieve 100% test coverage.
- Design, develop, and extend frameworks, templates, and guidelines for manual and automated test execution.
- Write detailed Test Plans and End of Test Reports to evidence software quality.
- Facilitate reviews and walkthroughs of test documentation with the development squad.
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, encouraging a culture of collaboration.
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience in quality engineering.
- Excellent understanding of BDD and/or ATDD development methodologies and an agile mindset.
- Experience with shift-left and continuous testing approaches.
- Strong programming principles for creating reusable, maintainable, and sophisticated automation code.
- Ability to work without supervision and a passion for learning new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
