Quality Engineer

Role Overview

Working within the Financial Wellbeing Platform, you will play a pivotal role in our transformation journey. The QE is part of a multi-skilled feature team, collaborating to ensure quality and customer requirements are met. You will ensure products are fit for purpose, validating and verifying feature behavior against requirement specifications within a dynamic, co-located team.

Responsibilities

• Create Test artefacts in line with an agreed Test Strategy, writing automation Test scripts against user stories and maintaining Test traceability.
• Identify defects and work with the squad team to provide fixes, preventing defect leakage and capturing lessons learnt.
• Improve and enrich existing test suites by adding new, well-crafted, efficient, maintainable, and readable tests.
• Define test coverage and scope based on acceptance criteria to undertake robust Automation and Exploratory testing.

Requirements

• 4 – 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Technical background with experience in Object Oriented Programming Languages including JavaScript, Java, and Visual Basic script.
• Good knowledge of database and ETL batches with SQL programming language.
• Experience with DevOps & CI/CD expertise (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, UCD).
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
