Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, and Performance Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications, working in Agile development environments, and developing automation scripts using Playwright.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- Work closely with Agile development teams to meet sprint goals, release schedules, and patch management timelines.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test reports.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System, API, UAT, and Performance Testing.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Playwright.
- Perform API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Record, track, and verify defects using Jira, ensuring timely resolution.
- Establish and follow defect management processes for bugs, issues, and change requests.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects efficiently.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Validate new features, enhancements, hotfixes, and production releases to ensure software quality before deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation frameworks, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, and the Defect Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience with Automation Testing using Playwright.
- Experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System, UAT, and Performance Testing.
- Hands-on experience in testing Web and Mobile applications.
- Experience with defect tracking and project management using Jira.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and XML.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
