Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in Selenium (Java) and API Testing using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate should possess solid functional testing skills, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to drive quality initiatives across mobile and web applications. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases for customer-facing applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for mobile and web applications.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, and Rest Assured.
- Perform comprehensive Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
- Create and execute API automation scripts using Rest Assured with Java.
- Validate API responses, request payloads, authentication mechanisms, and backend integrations.
- Participate in test planning, effort estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and ensure timely defect resolution.
- Support CI/CD integration and execution of automated test suites.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.
- Leverage AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot to improve testing productivity.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Appium Automation for Android and iOS.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Rest Assured for REST API validation.
- Strong Java programming knowledge including OOP Concepts, Collections, and Exception Handling.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle.
- Proficiency in TestNG or JUnit.
- Experience using Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- English proficiency at C1 Advanced level.
