Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Lyxa Labs is a Bengaluru-based climate-tech product studio focused on helping Indian manufacturers demonstrate how clean and efficient their operations truly are, strengthening their position in global trade. This is a full-time, remote Software Engineer Intern role where you will collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power Lyxa Labs’ climate-tech products.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean and efficient code.
• Reviewing and debugging existing features.
• Participating in code reviews.
• Contributing to technical documentation.
• Learning and applying best practices in software development.
• Working with data related to manufacturing and emissions.
• Iterating quickly based on feedback from internal stakeholders.
• Communicating effectively in a distributed team and managing tasks independently.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems concepts.
• Practical skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in Python and FastAPI.
• Knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Hands on development skill on React & React Native.
• Knowledge of Azure/AWS will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to work remotely in a structured, self-directed manner.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), basic testing practices, and agile workflows.
