SAP ABAP Developer

Role Overview

As an SAP ABAP Developer working with the new age SAP Platform, you will play a key role in the transformation of the transport and logistics industry. You will help build scalable, intelligent transport management solutions on S/4HANA, working across geographical and cultural borders to design, develop, test, and maintain business applications throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement solutions with SAP ABAP, adhering to best practices and standards.
• Develop enhancements and customizations within SAP TM using ABAP and BOPF frameworks.
• Work on TM-specific objects like Forwarding orders, Freight Orders, Freight Units, and Planning documents.
• Integrate SAP TM with other modules and external systems using APIs and OData services.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of scenarios.
• Document technical specifications, technical unit testing, and related artifacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid experience as an SAP ABAP developer, with a focus on SAP Transportation Management (TM).
• Strong expertise in ABAP, BOPF, Core Data Services, and RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model).
• Hands-on experience with SAP TM data model and process flows.
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of TM-related programs.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori/UI5, and integration technologies like OData and APIs.
• Knowledge in SAP BTP and SAP Event Management is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in logistics optimization is a bonus.
