Linux Intern

Role Overview

Magenta IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a motivated Linux Intern who is interested in Linux Administration, Servers, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Hosting, and IT Infrastructure. The selected candidate will receive practical exposure to Linux servers, website hosting, deployment, server management, networking, security, and cloud technologies while working on real-world projects under experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Linux server administration and maintenance.
• Work with Linux command-line tools and basic shell commands.
• Assist in configuring and managing Ubuntu/Linux servers.
• Monitor server performance and availability.
• Assist with Apache and Nginx web server configuration.
• Work with SSH and remote server management.
• Assist with website and application deployment.
• Support domain, DNS, hosting, and VPS management.
• Assist with server backup and basic security tasks.
• Troubleshoot basic server and hosting issues.
• Assist with Docker and container-related tasks.
• Work with Git and basic version control.
• Assist with server logs and basic system monitoring.
• Document server configurations and technical procedures.
• Support the technical team with day-to-day infrastructure tasks.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Linux.
• Familiarity with Linux commands is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of computer Networking.
• Interest in servers, Cloud, and IT infrastructure.
• Basic troubleshooting ability.
• Logical and analytical thinking.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work on real technical problems.
