Product Designer

Role Overview

As a Product Designer at Marqeta, you will play a critical role in designing solutions that help business customers build and launch card programs. You will work on 0 to 1 products and shape the future of embedded finance. This is a highly collaborative role within a small, craft-focused team that operates under a Flexible First model.

Responsibilities

• Craft embedded finance solutions for customers and cardholders
• Own a feature area and work with senior team members to execute designs and drive cross-functional alignment
• Assume responsibility for design quality in overseen areas
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners on product, design, and development
• Advocate for user needs while balancing business requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company, or a design agency
• A portfolio showcasing thorough examples of B2B/enterprise products and tools
• Experience in product, interaction, and visual design
• Proven ability to execute design projects end-to-end
• Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience in Payments or Fintech
• Experience designing B2C/consumer-facing products
• Expertise in accessibility, motion design, content design, user research, design systems, or front-end engineering
