REMOTE (INDIA): Backend Engineer- SaaS platform

Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team remotely from India to maintain and enhance the backend services powering our SaaS platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the uptime, scalability, and performance of critical APIs handling campaign generation, template storage, and credit-based billing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance backend services using Node.js, Express, or NestJS with TypeScript.
• Ensure uptime, scalability, and performance of APIs.
• Optimize MongoDB queries, indexes, and caching strategies.
• Implement and manage Redis, job queues, and async workflows.
• Monitor and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and SES.
• Implement security best practices including API authentication and rate-limiting.
• Maintain API versioning and documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript.
• Experience with MongoDB and ORMs like Mongoose or Prisma.
• Experience with Redis and job queues such as BullMQ or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with AWS services.
• Experience with Dockerized microservices and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2).
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Vitest.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in SaaS applications, high-traffic APIs, or marketing platforms.
• Knowledge of email compliance tools (SpamAssassin, DKIM/SPF/DMARC).
